CPA Firm Expands Staff and Headquarters
The Dayton-based CPA firm of E. Martin Davidoff & Associates, CPAs, announces the hiring of a new tax specialist and the expansion of its headquarters.
Eleanore DeLeo has joined the firm as Tax Controversy Specialist. In this position, she plays a vital role in helping clients to settle disputes with state and federal taxing agencies. She has a thorough understanding of all the facts of each case so every option can be considered, and ensures that the firm adheres to all deadlines and timelines. She prepares federal tax summaries, gathers IRS transcripts, and maintains direct communication with clients, the IRS and other tax authorities.
DeLeo also coordinates the firm’s E-Filing operations and handles tax administrative duties during the busy tax season. In addition to her tax responsibilities, DeLeo has served in the capacity of “CFO in a Box,” a term coined by firm owner Marty Davidoff. Through this unique service, DeLeo or another staff member handles financial management duties such as bill paying, payroll, creating financial statements, budgeting and tax returns.
Davidoff is happy to have DeLeo as a member of his team. “She handles some very complicated IRS tax examination cases and works closely with our clients and me to gather documentation, analyze it and summarize it for the IRS,” he said. “She has already assisting in obtaining two very favorable results on large cases.”
Established in 1981 as a sole proprietorship, the firm has evolved into a full service accounting and tax law firm. Ongoing success and growth have resulted in the expansion of the firm’s headquarters at 353 Georges Road in Dayton. On December 1, its 26th anniversary, the firm enlarged its current office space by forty percent and now occupies the entire second floor of the building. The new space will accommodate additional staff and provide flexibility for future growth.
