HELPING HANDS

Food Drive: Between 30 and 40 recent graduates and students of South Brunswick High School will be distributing 1,500 to 2,000 bags and requesting assistance on Saturday for the South Brunswick Food Pantry.

The students will be picking up food left at the front stoop of homes previously visited the following weekend.  They will be visiting homes in the Dayton, Deans, and Monmouth Junction areas of South Brunswick.

The South Brunswick Food Pantry food serves people who do not have enough food to eat.  Families and individuals in need of assistance rely heavily upon the pantry for weekly provisions.

People not receiving bags on Saturday may bring donations directly to the South Brunswick Food Pantry from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.  Monday through Friday.  The food pantry is located at the South Brunswick Township Senior Center on Route 522.

Donors may also contact the Food Pantry at (732) 329-4000 Ext. 617.

Additional information about the food drive is available by e-mailing sbfood@taxattorneycpa.com.

The project has been initiated by attorney E. Martin Davidoff.  The firm's project to run the food drive is being spearheaded by Kalpana Sarnpale, a recent graduate of South Brunswick High School who will be attending Duke University this fall.

Also participating and supporting the food drive are Dunkin' Donuts of Dayton, which is providing doughnuts for volunteers, and the Stop 'n Shop and Super Stop 'n Shop stores of Dayton and Franklin Park.  Other co-sponsors are being sought.
