E. Martin Davidoff, Attorney at Law, is a law firm providing expert services in IRS problems resolution. E. Martin Davidoff & Associates is a Certified Public Accounting firm providing expert services in individual taxation, income tax research and planning, S corporations, business start-ups and business consulting. Mr. Davidoff is acknowledged by Accounting Today as one of the 100 most influential people in the accounting profession.  The combined business of the related firms is growing rapidly due to our reputation and the large number of referrals.  Currently, the firms, together, have eleven full-time employees at our office in Dayton, New Jersey.

Hours:

Full or part-time.  Must be flexible between the hours of 8:30am to 7:00pm.  Those wishing to work part-time must work a minimum of 24 hours over four days per week.

Skills Required:

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of One year's experience as a Paralegal, Legal Secretary or Executive/Administrative assistant within the tax department of an accounting firm.  Must have excellent computer and organizational skills.  The candidate must be detail-oriented with strong analytical, written and communications skills.  Excellent office skills, Microsoft Outlook expertise, intermediate spreadsheet skills, and keyboard speed of at last 60 wpm are required.  knowledge of Word Perfect 8, 9 or 10 and dictaphone experience are a plus, but not required.  The position requires exceptional telephone skills to deal with both clients and tax authorities.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will principally work on client-related matters, such as tax controversy cases (disputes, negotiations, etc.), the assembly of tax returns, and corporate paralegal work.  You will be working with a team of professionals taht manage our tax controversy case load.  The ideal candidate will interact independently with the IRS, NJ Division of Taxation, and our clients, with respect to the resolution of their client cases.  In time, the ideal candidate will become the firm's tax administrator handling all administrative aspects of the firm's filing of tax returns.
